It heats well with a hairdryer, and the soft pad feels more gentle than the hard rubber-like ones. Would anyone be able to sell a hair curler that really inserted acute angles into your hair instead and called them "curls"?This eyelash curler is fine, but doesn't defy the crimping standard as I had hoped. the plastic bit narrows to a a fairly sharp edge. The pad is silicone which is nice, since I have a latex allergy ruling out any rubber pads. Overall a fine curler, just not "the curler" I had hoped it would be.
