| 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful  works well right at first, This review is from: Tarte Cosmetics Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler 1 piece (Health and Beauty) I could not believe the beautiful curl I got with this eyelash curler when I first got one of these a few years back. I felt the 'crimping' mechanism, however, did not stay tight as it should have; just several weeks later, I felt the curl I got was just average. Still it was better than others I had tried, so I replaced it with another Tarte and was very disappointed, as it seemed they had changed the product...it now comes in a plastic package instead of a box and it seemed several I looked at, at a store, were a bit twisted and off-kilter from shipping or something. I actually had a problem with it pinching my eyelids and the spring would sometimes catch somehow and make a noise, which I felt could be dangerous to the safety of my eyes, so I tossed it. I purchased the Shiseido curler and am quite happy with that one (Shiseido is better than the Paula Dorf one, in my opinion, which seems to get rave reviews on Amazon).
